Café Ursula

Café Ursula, ever popular, has been at the public’s service in Kaivopuisto for more than 50 years. This high-class, cosy café-restaurant attracts the young and the old alike to enjoy the beautiful seaside scenery all year round. Drop in for a cup of cappuccino or try our legendary shrimp sandwich after your afternoon walk. At lunch time, our kitchen makes delicious seafood specialties and steaks along with traditional Finnish home-made food. For a smaller snack, try our different sandwiches and pastries.

In the summer, Café Ursula’s patio is filled with people enjoying the sunshine and the archipelago. In the winter, one can watch the ships slowly making their way through the frozen sea; you might even see the occasional pedestrian walking side by side with the ship. There are occasional thematic evenings at the restaurant. For example, the Spaghetti Opera is an Italian dinner served with Italian opera. The restaurant has a piano, which both professional and amateurs alike are welcome to try. Café Ursula is owned by six non-profit organisations, and the proceeds are directed entirely to support these organisations, for mothers, children, the elderly and education.
